My mom died recently after a prolonged, ugly struggle with dementia and decreasing health due to her advanced age. We were so lucky to find a wonderful place for her to live out the last years of her life and would like to thank the caregivers who took care of her with love in their hearts and gentleness in their hands.
Paula and the people at Anderson’s Adult Family Home in Roy are truly heaven-sent angels on Earth. Mom was nurtured, loved and cared for as if a family member by all of the angels there. Knowing she was in Paula and her staff’s capable hands eased our minds about keeping her safe.
Home-cooked meals, hugs and laughter were daily occurrences there, both for their clients and us as extended family members whenever we visited. We can’t thank them enough for all that they did for Mom. To submit Applause items, write to The News Tribune, Applause, PO Box 11000, Tacoma, WA98411. Or call 253-552-7014.
