FAIRBANKS -- A Fairbanks man is looking at a lengthy sentence for selling drugs.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner says 37-year-old Anthony Gadson got 25 years in prison Thursday for selling cocaine in the Fairbanks area.
Prosecutors say Gadson was one of seven residents indicted on drug distribution charges in April. They say he was a "kingpin" who supplied cocaine to other dealers.
A jury found him guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during a drug crime in October. He was acquitted of conspiring to retaliate against an informant at Fairbanks Correctional Center.
Gadson maintains his innocence. But U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Beistline says Gadson is a large-scale drug dealer in Fairbanks.
