The Tacoma Narrows Bridge Citizen Advisory Committee will meet next week to begin discussing new toll rates for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will present traffic and revenue forecasts for multiple rate scenarios to the CAC during a public workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 11. The CAC will consider rate scenarios for further analysis before recommending a new toll rate to the Washington State Transportation Commission on March 20.

When:             6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11
Where:           Gig Harbor Civic Center, Community Rooms A and B
                       3510 Grandview St., Gig Harbor, WA 98335

Upcoming Tacoma Narrows Bridge tolling meetings at the Gig Harbor Civic Center:

·         Wednesday, Feb. 8 – WSDOT Open House 5:30-6:30 p.m.; CAC meeting and public hearing 6-8:30 p.m.

·         Wednesday, Feb. 22– CAC meeting 6-8 p.m.

Residents and drivers are invited to attend and learn more about proposed tolling rates. Citizens are encouraged to participate during the public hearing on Feb. 8.

All CAC  meetings are open to the public. Individuals may also submit comments or questions to the CAC either online at: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Tolling/TNBTolling/CitizenAdvisoryCommittee or by mail to TNB-CAC, WSDOT Toll Division, 401 2nd Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98104.

The CAC is a governor-appointed, nine-member committee that makes toll rate recommendations to the Washington State Transportation Commission. Committee members include:

·      Melody Griggs, Gig Harbor

·      Ted Hilliard, Tracyton

·      Caroline Belleci, University Place

·      Ron Jones, Gig Harbor

·      Amy Matsuno, Port Orchard

·      Chris Myers, Gig Harbor

·      Jim Pasin, Gig Harbor

·      Alan Weaver, Gig Harbor

·      There is one vacancy
