BELLINGHAM - Low-income children can receive dental care during the eighth annual Whatcom County Free Sealant Day, Saturday, Feb. 4, at Interfaith Dental Clinic, 220 Unity St.
Dental professionals and other volunteers will provide free dental screenings, X-rays, sealants and fluoride treatments to children age 1 to 18. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 360-714-9010.
Tooth decay is the most prevalent chronic disease among children, especially those from low-income families.
Sealant Day is coordinated by the Mount Baker Dental Hygienists' Society in partnership with multiple health and school agencies.
