The seventh annual world tour of the Winter Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Festival is coming to Seattle on Jan. 20. The festival highlights the alliance’s efforts to preserve and conserve winter landscapes for quiet users.
This year’s program offers nine films, including “Solitaire” from Sweetgrass Productions, voted Best of Festival; the Best Short award film, “Chalk and Ski,” produced by Chris Dicky and Purple Orange LLC; and the Best of the Backcountry award film “Breaking Trail” from Powderwhore Productions.
The event will be at The Mountaineers Program Center, 7700 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the films begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com and are $8 for general admission and $7 for Mountaineers members. Tickets will be $10 at the door.
