Vigil and memorial service to be held for Margaret Anderson

TRIBUTES FOR MARGARET ANDERSON

VIGIL: A candlelight vigil for Margaret Anderson will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Eatonville Early Learning Center, 560 Center St. E., Eatonville. Anderson lived in Eatonville with her husband, Eric, also a ranger at Mount Rainier. The couple’s two daughters, ages 3 and 1, attend the day-care center.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Anderson will be honored at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pacific Lutheran University, 12180 Park Ave. S., Tacoma.

DONATIONS: The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to KeyBank, P.O. Box 159, Eatonville, WA 98328. Checks should be made out to the Margaret Anderson Donation Account.

    BELLINGHAM - A vigil honoring the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut is planned for Saturday afternoon, Dec. 22, in the Bellis Fair mall food court.

    Community members are invited to participate in the vigil, which will include Christmas carols and a Hearts of Hope art station where people can decorate a heart and send a message to the Newtown Congregational Church.

    Those interested can meet at 1 p.m. near the gift-wrapping station in the food court. The organizer, Kristi Anderson, will be wearing a red sweater and will hand out song sheets and ribbons in Sandy Hook's colors, green and white. Carols will begin at 2 p.m.
