The Seattle Mariners signed pitcher Aaron Heilman to a minor league contract Tuesday with an invitation to spring training.
Last season with Arizona, the 33-year-old Heilman went 4-1 with a 6.88 earned run average over 32 games out of the bullpen.
In nine seasons in the majors -- six with the Mets, one with the Cubs and the past two in Arizona -- he is 35-46 with a 4.40 ERA in 477 games (25 starts).
