School buses that run along Turnagain Arm from Girdwood to Anchorage were canceled for the day, according to the Anchorage School District. The routes include buses bound for South High School, Goldenview Middle School and Girdwood Elementary. Students without transportation to school would be given an excused absence, the school district said. After-school activities at Goldenview Middle School have been canceled.
