The Indianapolis Colts have named Ryan Grigson as their new general manager.
Grigson spent the past nine years with the Philadelphia Eagles. He joined the franchise in 2003 as a regional scout, became director of college scouting in 2006 and took over as director of player personnel in 2010.
The Indiana native and a Purdue graduate also spent three seasons with the St. Louis Rams as a scout.
Grigson will take over a football operations department that had been headed by Bill Polian for 14 years. Polian and his general manager son, Chris, were fired last week in the wake of a 2-14 season.
