An early morning fire destroyed two apartments and left five people without a place to stay in Auburn.

Firefighters were called to the Willow Park Apartments, 1120 37th St. S.E., about 2:35 a.m., Valley Regional Fire Authority reported. A resident of a neighboring apartment complex first spotted the flames and called 911.
