The Tacoma Astronomical Society and the Puyallup Public Library will hold the fifth annual star party on Feb. 7.

The program is an opportunity to introduce children to basic scientific and mathematical principals of rocketry by using stomp rockets. If the weather allows, children and their families can learn about and observe stars through telescopes.

The event will be held at the library, 324 S. Meridian, Puyallup, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Hot chocolate will be served to keep everybody warm. The event is for people of all ages.
