SATURday’s highlights

Curtis took first at the SPSL boys swimming meet. The top three finishers in the 100 freestyle all posted state qualifying times with Chase Bublitz of Kentridge (48.04 seconds) leading the way.

Kentridge’s Courtnae Williams had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Chargers’ 29-28 girls basketball win over Tahoma.

Federal Way’s Darrah Huertas-Vining scored 18 points in the Eagles’ 50-47 road win over Rogers.

Clint Absher led the Puyallup boys with 24 points, and Bailey Hunter scored 19 in a 75-66 overtime win over Graham-Kapowsin.

Curtis’ Rodrick Smith and Juarence Chisolm scored a game-high 19 points each in the Vikings’ 62-45 win over SPSL 4A foe Emerald Ridge. Jeremy Harris led the Jaguars with 12 points.
