UW educator to speak at early learning workshop in Sumner

The Sumner School District will offer an Early Learning Linkages Winter Workshop, designed for those who work with children up to age 8.

The workshop, to be held from 5-8:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Sumner Middle School, 1508 Willow Ave., will feature Dr. Gina Lebedeva of the University of Washington Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences.

The program is free to parents, childcare providers, preschool to third-grade teachers, staff and community members within the Sumner School District boundaries.

The registration fee for out-of-district participants is $25 per person. Call 253-891-4776 to register.

The registration deadline is Thursday.
