Tuesday's highlights
In SPSL 2A boys basketball, Steilacoom’s Deshawn Habte scored a team-high 16 points to guide the Sentinels to a 60-59 win over Sumner. Joey Kendall led the Spartans with 17 points.
White River senior guard Billy Kiel hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points in a 59-55 win over visiting Fife. Trojans senior center Bryce Miller scored 25 points.
Muckleshoot’s Ryan Oldman led the Kings with 21 points in a 53-51 win over Northwest Yeshiva. Muckleshoot’s Luis Exparza added 13 points.
Cascade Christian senior guard Jake Archer scored eight of his 12 points during the first quarter of a 44-41 home win over Charles Wright Academy in the 1A Nisqually League. Tarriers junior guard Fritz Jacobson scored 11 points.
Enumclaw’s Tony Chynoweth scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a 68-64 home win over SPSL 3A foe Auburn Mountainview. The Lions’ MacCormick Anderson scored 18 points.
In girls basketball, Kentlake junior center Stephanie Luce scored 13 points in a 46-40 SPSL South win over Kentridge. Falcons senior point guard Alyssa Simonson scored 10 of Kentlake’s 17 fourth-quarter points to take the lead. Freshman point guard Imani Brooks scored 10 points for Kentridge.
Bonney Lake’s Mekenzie Voellger had 13 points and 13 rebounds in a 40-34 road win over SPSL 3A foe Peninsula. The Seahawks’ Carli Council scored 11 points.
Curtis senior center Alexa Goodenow led the Vikings with 17 points and six rebounds in a 49-42 SPSL South loss to visiting Puyallup.
Tahoma sophomore guard Jordan Eberhardt hit four 3-pointers in the first four minutes to help set up a 44-37 SPSL North win over Kent Meridian. Eberhardt had 16 points. Royals senior guard Aubreyana Anderson scored 15.
