Comedian Jeff Foxworthy, known for his classic line, “You might be a redneck if ... " is coming to The Puyallup Fair.

Foxworthy is the first name to be placed on The Fair's lineup. He will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, at The Fair's concert series presented by Columbia Bank.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 11. Call 1-888-559-FAIR from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or visit www.thefair.com/concerts.

Foxworthy has sold more records than any other comedian in history. He is a multiple Grammy Award nominee and best-selling author of more than 26 books. His act explores the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature, a style often compared to Mark Twain’s.

To save the convenience charges, you can purchase tickets at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center box office starting Feb. 11 at 9th Avenue SW and Meridian Street on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Starting Feb. 14, the box office will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Ticket prices are $65 for golden circle; $45 infield. Grandstand seating is $45, $35 and $25. Seats are reserved and include Fair gate admission.

Foxworthy’s hit TV show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" aired from 2007-09 on FOX and is in syndication. Prior to that, he was the executive producer and starred in "Foxworthy’s Big Night Out."

He also starred in and was the executive producer for the television series "Blue Collar TV," which he created for the WB network. It is the spinoff of "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," the movie, and the concert tour of the same name. The movie premiered on Comedy Central and was one of the highest rated movies in the channel’s history. It has sold more than 4 million units, and the movie soundtrack has been RIAA-certified gold.

More acts will be announced in the coming months. Sign up at www.thefair.com to receive email or text announcements prior to the concert on-sale dates.
