A foundation established in the name of one of four Lakewood police officers gunned down at a coffee shop in 2009 will hold a fun run today to raise money for its scholarship fund.

The 5K run, being held on behalf of The Tina DeLong Griswold Foundation, will be held at Meadow Park Golf Course, 7108 Lakewood Drive W. Festivities begin at 9 a.m. when first responders take to the course. High-schoolers follow at 9:30 a.m. with the general run beginning at 10 a.m. Entry is $30.

Griswold died Nov. 29, 2009, along with colleagues Mark Renninger, Greg Richard and Ronald Owens, when they were attacked without provocation at a Parkland coffee shop.

The man who attacked them later was shot and killed by a Seattle police officer.
