MONDAY
It will be American Heart Association Lobby Day. Participants will speak with lawmakers about healthy communities, and there will be a CPR and AED demonstration at noon at the Capitol.
FLOOR ACTION
A proposal to define and address financially insolvent school districts passed the House floor unanimously. House Bill 2617 would create a process for eliminating these districts, making them part of others nearby.
Mandatory training for health professionals in suicide assessment, treatment and management passed the House floor 92-5. House Bill 2366 would require six hours of training every six years.
House Bill 2280, which would establish a yellow-dot program in Washington, passed the House 74-23. The program involves drivers putting a yellow decal in their window indicating that their identifying and medical information is in the glove compartment, in case of an accident.
The Senate passed a measure asking the president and Congress to implement a plan designed to foster trade and border security between the United States and Canada. Senate Joint Memorial 8016 passed 46-1.
A proposal that would require landlords to tell tenants whether a unit has a carbon monoxide alarm, Senate Bill 6324, passed the Senate unanimously.
