Oregon State shot 52 percent from the floor as the Beavers knocked off Washington, 78-73, in Pacific-12 Conference women’s basketball at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle on Saturday.

The Beavers (17-7 overall, 8-5 Pac-12) had five scorers in double figures, led by Yakima Valley Community College transfer Earlysia Marchbanks with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

But it was the 15 points off the bench by junior guard Mollee Schwegler, who had nine points this season coming into the game, that made the difference.

Schwegler, a transfer from Lower Columbia College in Longview, was 4-for-6 on 3-pointers. Her traditional three-point play with 3:18 to play was a key basket for Oregon State.

OSU shot 58 percent from the field in the second half, including scoring on 13 of its final 15 possessions.

Jazmine Davis scored 20 points to lead Washington (13-10, 5-8). It was the fifth consecutive game Davis reached the 20-point barrier, although she was 6-for-17 (35.3 percent) from the field. Davis made three consecutive 3-pointers, including one from 25 feet, to keep the Huskies close.

Regina Rogers added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Huskies.

Rogers played 30 minutes yet missed critical stretches because of foul trouble, including an offensive foul that led to a technical foul on UW coach Kevin McGuff with six minutes to play.

“When Regina is in the game, I think we’re in pretty good shape,” McGuff said. “But when she wasn’t, we struggled to get tough rebounds and score around the basket.”

Oregon 67, at Washington State 62: Amanda Johnson’s 23 points sparked the Ducks (14-11, 6-7) over the Cougars (10-15, 4-9).

Moses Lake High graduate Carly Noyes had 12 points and nine rebounds as all five starters scored in double figures for WSU.

Southern Cal 76, at Cal 75 (OT): Ariya Crook’s jumper with five seconds remaining in overtime won it for the Trojans (13-11, 7-6).

Crook scored all 11 of USC’s points in OT and finished with 26 points off the bench. Briana Gilbreath had 24 points and eight rebounds for the Trojans.

Gennifer Brandon, whose father, Greg, was a 1984 draft pick of the Sonics, had 22 points and 17 rebounds for Cal (18-7, 9-4).

At Utah 73, Arizona 67: Michelle Plouffe had 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Utes (12-12, 5-8) over the Wildcats (13-12, 2-11), who got 22 points and eight boards from Davellyn Whyte.

MEN

California 73, at UCLA 63: Justin Cobbs scored 18 points as the Golden Bears (20-6, 10-3) into sole possession of first in the Pac-12, a half-game ahead of idle Washington.

The Bears shot 52 percent from the floor in completing their first season sweep of the Bruins since 1993-94. Cal won all four regular-season games against the Los Angeles schools for the first time since 1958-59.

Jerime Anderson scored 16 points for the Bruins (14-11, 7-6), who lost at home for the first time in six games.

At Arizona 70, Utah 61: Nick Johnson hit a 3-pointer with just over a minute remaining and had 18 points as the Wildcats (18-8, 9-4) overcame an ugly first half.

The Utes (5-11, 2-11) led by as many as 13 points but did not score in the final 5:42.

Colorado 63, at Arizona State 49: Spencer Dinwiddie scored all of his 15 points in the second half for the Buffaloes (17-8, 9-4). Jonathan Gilling scored 11 points for the Sun Devils (8-17, 4-9).
