The Chilly Hilly ride has been kicking off the Northwest bicycling season for the past 39 years. This year’s event, to be held Feb. 26, features a 33-mile route around Bainbridge Island.

The course is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m., starting at the ferry ramp on Winslow Way. The route includes 2,675 feet of hills.

Participants can enjoy free baked goods and hot cider at the American Legion Hall. Riders will support 10 local Bainbridge Island charities and can enjoy the Finish Line Festival with a chili feed that is a fundraiser for the Squeaky Wheels Bicycling Club.
