Participants will learn the skills needed to make paper aircraft from the simplest folded airplanes to “cutting edge” paper airplanes. They will learn the basics of aircraft pitch, roll and yaw. Planes can be entered in the distance and spot landing contests and compete for prizes.
Fees are $7 for participants, including professional instruction, construction materials and snacks, and $5 for spectators and general admission.
The event will be held at the museum, Olympic Regional Airport, 7637-A Old Hwy 99 S.E., Tumwater. For information, go to olympicflightmuseum.com.
