Pierce County sheriff’s detectives were asking Tuesday for help identifying a woman who tried to break into a Buckley house Feb. 21.
Surveillance footage shows the woman park a car in the driveway of a home on Barkubein Road East. She then knocks on doors and looks into windows before trying to throw a small patio table through a glass door. She fled after cracking the door, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The attempted burglary occurred at 12:20 p.m.
The woman is in her late 20s or early 30s with a heavy build and long brown hair in a ponytail. She was wearing tan slippers, blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Seaside” written across the front.
The woman was driving a late 1980s or early 1990s blue Ford Thunderbird with a sunroof.
Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and charges filed against the attempted burglar. Reach Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959.
