The first set of four free days at Washington state parks will be March 18-19. Those dates were chosen in honor of Washington State Parks’ 99th birthday March 19.
The other dates are June 9, National Get Outdoors Day; Sept. 29, National Public Lands Day; and Nov. 10-12, for Veterans Day weekend.
On these days, the Discover Pass will not be required to visit a state park. On the free days, a Discover Pass still will be required to access lands managed by the state departments of Natural Resources and Fish and Wildlife.
The cost for the Discover Pass is $10 a day or $30 a year (some transaction fees might be charged). You can learn more about the pass at discoverpass.wa.gov.
