The Mount Rainier Committee of the Friends of NRA will hold its 19th annual banquet and auction Saturday.

The event will be held at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and a live auction after that. There also will be raffles and games throughout the evening.

Funds raised at this event are used to support firearm safety training, hunter education and the shooting sports. In February, the local committee granted $224,000 to organizations such as hunter education programs, junior shooting teams, Boy Scouts, VFWs, 4H clubs, FFA clubs, JROTC teams, American Legions and other sport-shooting organizations.

Dinner tickets are $50 each.
