On the road for March 25: Long Beach art show

What: Spring Art show

When: Friday-April 1, open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day

Where: World Kite Museum, 303 Sid Snyder Dr. W., Long Beach

What is it: This is the Peninsula Arts Association’s 21st annual spring show. More than 50 artists will compete in 20-plus categories during this show. Categories include watercolor, acrylic, jewelry, metal, clay, photography and mixed media. An art raffle of member donated work, benefits the the association’s high school graduate scholarship fund that awards a $1,000 scholarship and the art enrichment program that offers art project boxes to Long Beach area elementary school teachers.

Shop for art: The show features the Inspired Creations Shopping Experience. Items are handmade or art inspired, such as prints, art or photography cards, and are for sale.

Featured artist: Peggy Bleckov, the best in show winner of the association’s 41st annual Fall 2011 Art Show, is the featured artist of this event. Bleckov, a photographer, has her studio at her Blackwood Beach Cottages just outside Ocean Park.
