Tuesday’s highlights

Bethel senior Cory Nelson pitched a perfect game, striking out 14, in a 7-0 SPSL South win over Spanaway Lake.

Junior Cole Johnson struck out 13, walked none and allowed one hit in White River’s 1-0 win over Fife in an SPSL 2A game. Zach Howard scored the game’s lone run on a balk.

Bellarmine Prep sophomore pitcher Courtney Schwan helped her cause by going 4-for-4 in a 4-3 Narrows 4A fastpitch win over Olympia. Schwan had the winning RBI with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Spanaway Lake’s Raelin Goodwin had two hits and drove in a run in a 4-3 SPSL South road win over Graham-Kapowsin. Taylor Nelson drove in two runs for Graham-Kapowsin.

Emerald Ridge junior pitcher Meagan Hendrix had two hits and drove in the winning run in a 4-3 SPSL South win over Rogers. Taylor Buie drove in three runs for Emerald Ridge.

Lincoln junior Juan Vicente scored in a 1-1 3A Narrows League boys soccer tie with Capital.

Fife midfielder Lorenzo Ramos scored in a 1-0 SPSL 2A win over host White River.

Kentwood senior defender Eli Peterson scored twice in a 3-2 SPSL North win over Mount Rainier.

Charles Wright freshman Angelica Bogue was the medalist at Oakbrook in the 224-225 1A Nisqually girls golf win over Cascade Christian.

Sumner’s Miriam Tuma won in straight sets in the 3-2 SPSL 2A girls tennis win over Washington.
