Local National Merit scholars announced

National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners were recently announced by National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The designees were selected from a pool of 15,000 finalists.

National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners were recently announced by National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The designees were selected from a pool of 15,000 finalists.

Local winners are: Heather Odell, Auburn Mountainview High; Jasper Vaughn, Gig Harbor High; Kami Bates, Northwest Christian High in Lacey; Brian Pinkard, Puyallup High; Anthony Wohns, Charles Wright Academy; and Austin Rodgers, Curtis High.
