The Fife Police Department has launched a blog to update residents about police activity in the city.

The blog can be found at fifepolicedepartment.blogspot.com.

“Our goal is to keep you, our citizens and businesses, informed on noteworthy incidents,” the blog states.

On Monday it featured two incidents.

The first was the recovery of a stolen vehicle Thursday. Officers stopped the stolen car on Pacific Highway and found the driver was a suspect in identity-theft cases. The driver was booked into jail.

The most recent incident occurred Monday when officers arrested a man suspected of stealing a case of ammunition from Sportco. Officers found the man in a nearby parking lot shortly after the theft.

The blog also has a link to a crime mapping website that features recent calls for service in the city.
