Lakewood police have launched a new website and Facebook page.

The website can be found at www.cityoflakewood.us/government/departments/police. The department’s Facebook page is under Lakewood WA Police Department.

The department will use the website and Facebook page (as well as its Twitter account) to share information with the public about events and incidents.

The new website has a crime mapping feature that displays recent incidents reported to Lakewood police. It also has an events calendar, news releases and a link to the Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers’ website.

The Facebook page features ongoing cases as well as photographs of officers working in the city.
