Cooper Doxon scored on a header in the 10th minute and Kurtis Pederson added a goal in the second half as Bellarmine Prep beat Snohomish, 2-1, in the first round of the Class 4A boys soccer state playoffs. The Lions advance to host Puyallup in the quarterfinals Saturday.
Narrows League 4A champion Central Kitsap routed Tahoma, 7-2. The Cougars will host Issaquah in the quarterfinals.
Lake Stevens eliminated Jefferson from the state playoffs, beating the SPSL champions 2-1 in a shootout. Beau Hepler tied the score in the 74th minute for the Raiders.
Connor Sigmon scored two goals, leading Tumwater to a 3-2 win over Port Angeles in the first round of the Class 2A state playoffs.
