Tacoma police seek help finding at-large armed thief

Tacoma police on Tuesday released a surveillance image of a man suspected of robbing a convenience store at gunpoint May 16.

The robber walked into the 7-Eleven store at 4701 S. Oakes St. about 2:45 a.m., pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash, police said. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, he ran from the store, going south.

The robber was described as 25 to 30 years old and 6 feet to 6 feet 4, with a thin build. He wore black pants, black shoes, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black knit cap.
