 • Take the family out for a free look at local history at the Browns Point Lighthouse Cottage Museum. Exhibits include the Jerry Meeker Exhibit, a Puyallup Indian who was instrumental in the history of Browns Point and Dash Point; restored 1903 classic keepers’ cottage, furnished with antiques; history museum with hands-on displays; boathouse maritime exhibit with Coast Guard surf boat, antique tools, original fog bell.  • You don’t have to wait for SeaFair to get excited about hydroplane boats. Check out the Hydro Fever Open House from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today. It will feature a live auction of memorabilia, model races for kids, dealers and more. The free event is at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum, 5917 S. 196th St., Kent. thunderboats.ning.com.
