FESTIVAL OF COLORS
What: What has been known as the International Kite Challenge is now the Ocean Shores Festival of Colors.
When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 3.
Where: The majority of the events will take place on the beach just south of the Chance A La Mer beach approach in Ocean Shores.
Highlights: This event will include sport kite competitions, hosted by the Northwest Sport Kite League; free kite lessons by master class champion Dodd Gross; and a show by multiple kite flyer Ray Bethell. There also will be night flying, mass ascensions and kiting classes.
For the kids: From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, there will be free kitemaking for kids.
