Those who want to learn more about the sport of rowing will have the chance to learn about the sport Saturday.

The Olympia Area Rowing Association is celebrating National Learn to Row Day by offering a free chance to row a scull on Budd Inlet.

Participants can test the waters from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Swantown Marina, 1210 Marine Drive N.E., Olympia. Follow the signs to the parking area.

Come early to make sure you are guaranteed a time to row. You don’t have to row right away, you can sign up for a time and come back later, but you have to sign up in person.

For more details, call 360-352-2867 or go to olympiaarearowing.org.
