Puyallup police on Monday were trying to identify a suspicious man spotted on elementary school campuses at least five times with no apparent reason to be there.

Teachers have reported that the man entered classrooms before and after school was in session in recent weeks. Nothing appears to be missing, and although the man behaves as though he has reason to be at the schools, police said information he has provided school employees is false.

“There is no current crime being investigated, but police are very interested in identifying this subject to determine his motives for this suspicious behavior,” police said in a statement.

The man has been seen driving a tan, single-cab 4x4 truck. He is white, about 30, 5 feet 10 with a medium build and short brown hair worn in a flattop. He also might have a big tattoo on one of his forearms.

Anyone who sees the man is asked to call 911.
