Roy man sentenced for wildlife violations

STACIA GLENN

A Roy man has been sentenced for poaching several wild animals near his vacation home in Idaho.

Delton Repnow, 64, pleaded guilty last week to four misdemeanor wildlife violations. Ten other charges were dropped as part of the plea agreement.

A judge ordered Repnow to pay $7,980 in fines and serve two years on probation. His hunting license was revoked for two years.

During the investigation, Idaho Fish and Game officers seized a mountain lion, several deer and two mounted owls from Repnow’s vacation home in Bonners Ferry. The investigation was sparked by an anonymous tip.
