    Vikings senior right-hander Jacob Howard rose to the occasion, surrendering a mere five hits and no runs in 6 2/3 innings of work, guiding the Vikings to a 2-0 win against the Emerald Ridge Jaguars on April 25. The Vikings clinched the SPSL South regular season title with the win and improved their overall record to 18-2. It is the sixth consecutive year the Vikings have earned first place in the SPSL South. The Jaguars finished the regular season with a 16-3 overall record and finished in second place. Vikings’ head coach Marc Wiese said Howard’s performance was absolutely unbelievable.
