Mother’s Room, Quiet Zone added to Sea-Tac
Responding to customers’ requests, Sea-Tac Airport has opened two new refuges from the airport’s chaotic hustle and bustle.
The newest is a “Quiet Zone” on the B Concourse. The room near Gate B4 features ample seating for travelers and multiple power outlets for those using their computers or recharging their electronics.
The room is equipped with televisions tuned to news channels. Those screens are in closed-captioned mode in case of distracting noise. The room is decorated with art displays from the airport’s rotating collection.
On the A Concourse, the airport has set aside another room exclusively for mothers caring for their babies. The room is furnished with rocking chairs and adjustable lighting. The updated Mother’s Room is adjacent to the Kids Play Area on Concourse A.
