2-year-old boy drowns Saturday at Horseshoe Lake
A 2-year-old boy drowned Saturday morning at Horseshoe Lake, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened around 10:15 a.m. in the small lake next to Clear Lake, in the 1700 block of Overlake Court Southeast.
The boy separated from his brother and cousin while playing in the lake, according to Sgt. Griffin of Thurston County Sheriff’s office.
The mother started looking for the boy and found him in the lake. She pulled him out and started CPR until medics arrived.
When medics got to the scene, they could not revive the boy.
