Have Pierce County Library fines? Read them away

Children, ‘tweens and teens can earn coupons for up to $5 off their Pierce County Library fines – by reading more.

This summer, kids can “read down” fines they have accumulated for not turning in books and other materials on time. The goal is to help families out at a time when many are strapped for cash, and to engage kids in reading over the summer. For the first 10 hours kids read as part of the library’s summer reading program, they can earn a coupon for up to $5 off library fines.
