Harbor Ridge educator named Air Force teacher of year
The McChord Field Chapter of the Air Force Association has selected Shira Stark as its teacher of the year. She also was selected as the Washington State Air Force Association teacher of the year in competition with other state chapter nominations.
Stark teaches 7th-grade science, computers and robotics at Harbor Ridge Middle School in the Peninsula School District. The criteria for the award include demonstrated excellent teaching skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
