Two trips offer a chance to explore Greenway

The Mountains to Sound Greenway has created two behind-the-scenes opportunities to explore the greenway.

Organizers have selected some of the most scenic stretches in the greenway and created trips that allow particpants to experience the region. Greenway staffers will handle all the logistics, including shuttle service, directions and a post trip barbecue.

The July 14 is a bike ride along the John Wayne Pioneer Trail that leads through the two-mile long tunnel at Snoqualmie Pass. The trip will cover a 20-mile stretch of the trail , providing views of the Cascades, educational stops and a meal back at Rattlesnake Lake.

On Aug. 4, the trip will be a hike up Rattlesnake Mountain. This trip will cover the 10.2-mile length of the mountain.

The cost for each trip is $25. You can register for either ride at mtsgreenway.org.
