The victim advertised medical marijuana on Craigslist and got robbed.

When he called Tacoma police, he told officers that he went to a house to buy a riding lawn mower he saw advertised online. A woman sent him a text message with the address, but it was a man who met him.

As they walked to the backyard, the victim said the man grabbed him around the neck and demanded money and his car keys. Thinking the man’s gun was a toy, the victim began to struggle – until the gun went off.

The victim handed over the cash and keys and ran.

He later admitted to police that he advertised medical marijuana online and met with Kaeli Hacker to give her a sample. He agreed to meet her a second time when she contacted him and asked for a larger quantity of pot.

Hacker, however, didn’t show up for the meet. Clifton Dixon, the alleged robber, arrived in her place.

Police searched Hacker’s home and car and found about 10 ounces of marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to court records. She denied knowing anything about the robbery.

On Friday, Pierce County prosecutors charged Hacker, 23, and Dixon, 22, with first-degree robbery.
