 • Start celebrating the Fourth early at the Freedom Fair: Wings & Wheels Event starting at 10 a.m. today. The event celebrates airplanes, cars and motorcycles with live entertainment, race cars, World War II B-17 Flying Fortress offering aircraft rides and tours, helicopter rides, vintage cars and aircraft, and the Smoke ‘N’ Thunder Jet Dragster. Tacoma Narrows Airport, 1302 26th Ave. N.W., Gig Harbor. Admission is $12 for adults 18 and older, $5 for kids 7-17 years old and free for children 6 and younger.

 • The Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival is today and goes through July 4 at the Center for Wooden Boats, 1010 Valley St., Seattle. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. everyday. For a complete schedule of events go to cwb.org/2012Festival.
