Now open: Boathouse 19 at the Narrows Marina in Tacoma

Tacoma's newest waterfront restaurant opened this afternoon - Boathouse 19, located at the Narrows Marina near Day Island. The 230-seat restaurant is a casual waterfront restaurant serving mid-priced regional American cuisine - burgers, steak and seafood. The restaurant is the project of Denny Driscoll, a man known for operating restaurants in unexpected waterfront locations. Driscoll is the owner of the Lobster Shop restaurants on Ruston and Dash Point, and he also owns the Tanglewood Grill in Gig Harbor. His newest restaurant joins his stable of waterfront restaurants in somewhat obscure areas - the Narrows Marina and surrounding neighborhood isn't known as a restaurant destination.
