Olympia Rose Society to hold show

The Olympia Rose Society will have its 58th annual rose show this Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church. The show is an exhibition of flowers grown by a wide range of local rosarians. Here are the details:

What: 58th annual Olympia Rose Society Show

When: Open to the public, noon- 5 p.m. Saturday

Where: St. Michael Catholic Church, 1204 11th Ave. S.E., Olympia

Theme: Summer in Olympia.

Cost: It’s free, and you’ll even get a rose corsage as a thank-you for attending.

Membership not required: You don’t have to be an Olympia Rose Society member to enter. Just bring your roses to the show before 9:45 a.m. the day of the show.

Categories: Too many to list here, visit this address for a complete list, olyrose.org/show_ results.htm. Alternately, the schedule explaining the entry categories will be available outside the church beginning at 6:30 a.m. Saturday (vases and other supplies will be available, too).

Help with your roses: Society members will be on hand to help you figure out which category to enter.

Judging: From 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m., the awards ceremony begins at 2 p.m.
