TACOMA: Man, 18, recovering after beach party stabbing

A man stabbed Wednesday at a Tacoma beach party was taken to the hospital and was doing well Thursday, police said.

Officers were called about 1:10 a.m. about the stabbing in the 4500 block of Marine View Drive, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. Two men got into a fight that ended in the attack and the victim being taken to the hospital, Fulghum said.

“These two have had ongoing issues,” he said.

Both the victim and suspect were about 18 years old and from the Federal Way area, Fulghum added.

There were about a dozen people at the party.

Police did not arrest the suspect, and the investigation was still open, Fulghum said.
