Success at the Core, a group focused on improving student achievement through professional development for teachers and leadership teams, has selected 10 Washington educators – including two from Pierce County – as Success at the Core Fellows.
Ailene Baxter, a junior high principal with the Puyallup School District, and Jean Sheckler, an instructional coach for Tacoma Public Schools, attended training in Seattle.
The fellows will guide other educators in adoption of best practices in school leadership and student instruction through use of Success at the Core resources.
