A motorcyclist died Sunday after he crossed the center line of Marine View Drive and hit a car head on, Tacoma police said Monday.
John Bennett, 27, of Seattle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police responded about noon to the accident in the 1600 block of Marine View Drive. Traffic was blocked for several hours, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.
The car’s driver said her wrist hurt, but otherwise she was uninjured, Fulghum said.
Nothing at the scene indicated that drugs or alcohol were involved, Fulghum said.
