Thurston County sheriff's deputies arrested a 39-year-old Yelm man Saturday after finding two stolen motorcycles and a stolen travel trailer at a residence in the 18700 block of Stagecoach Lane, a news release states.

The Sheriff's Office thinks a "chop shop" was operating on the premises.

According to the release:

A deputy responded to the Stagecoach Lane residence after a caller reported a dirt bike with an altered vehicle identification number, or VIN. During the investigation, deputies noticed a large number of dirt bikes, motorcycles, quads and other vehicle parts.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies found a travel trailer, Yamaha motorcycle and Honda motorcycle, all stolen. The travel trailer and the Honda were reported stolen out of Pierce County; the Yamaha was reported stolen out of Tacoma.

"Much of the property located was in various levels of demolition with altered or shaved VIN numbers," the release states.
