Police: Hoodsport man stabs wife, attempts to assault daughter

A Hoodsport man was arrested Monday night after allegedly stabbing his wife and attempting to assault his 10-year-old daughter.

Mason County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home on North Varden Way at 10:18 p.m. Monday to find a 31-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

The woman told police her husband assaulted her with a knife and tried to assault their daughter. The woman siad her husband left the house before police arrived.

Police found the husband hiding behind a neighbor's house. He was arrested and taken to Mason County Jail.

The woman was taken to Mason General Hospital. The couple's daughter and son were not harmed.
